What I mean by this is that I am earning points not just by using my credit card with appropriate category spending.

But I’m earning through other ways as well.

Think linking accounts, dining, shopping portals etc.

Something I see students miss out on all the time is not using these.

Everyone does online shopping these days.

It doesn’t matter if it’s Nordstrom or Lowes, Bloomingdales or Nike.

You can earn points on every dollar you spend.

These are totally free to use so why don’t people use them?

Airlines including Delta, American, United, Southwest are all on there.

You can even earn Amex points using Rakuten

So when you go online shopping on your computer the extension pops up automatically and tells you what programs you can earn miles or cash back with and how much.

Pretty cool, right?

Earning airlines miles and Amex points can make a huge difference when it comes to booking travel.

I’ve earned over 18,000 Amex points through Rakuen alone.

That’s enough to transfer out to Virgin and book a free flight to London.
