Ok… Now onto the news…

Recent changes by federal authorities now mandate airlines to issue refunds for significant delays and cancellations.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Refunds for Delays: If your domestic flight is delayed over 3 hours or international flight over 6 hours, you’re entitled to a refund.

2. Cancellation Policy: Should your flight be canceled, automatic reimbursements are required, no longer just vouchers or travel credits.

3. Baggage Fees: If your luggage is over 12 hours late for a domestic flight, you can claim a refund of the baggage fee.

4. Service Fees: Refunds are also applicable for services not provided during the flight, such as Wi-Fi or special seating.

5. Transparency in Fees: Airlines are directed to disclose all fees upfront in the displayed airfare, eliminating hidden charges.

The implementation date is to be announced, likely starting in May.

Stay tuned for updates as we navigate these new policies to better serve you.
